Emma Whiteoak Lee,
Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist

I began my journey as a holistic health practitioner in 1998 at the age of 19. Originally a student of Western clinical herbal medicine, I went on to earn a graduate degree from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in 2009.

In my undergraduate work I majored in American medical history and botanical medicine, and spent many years traveling and studying herbal medicine traditions around the U.S. and beyond. I am passionate about medicine of all kinds, often melding Eastern and Western approaches in my work, offering eclectic and effective solutions for my patients.

I specialize in women’s health, fertility, anxiety and depression, but I enjoy seeing patients of all ages and ailments. Most recently, I completed a postpartum doula training at the Ayurvedic Center in Williston, VT.

I live in Bethel, VT with my two children, my partner, and his three children. I practice in both Brattleboro and in Bethel, Vermont. In my spare time, I enjoy writing about my many passions, gardening, dancing, and contemplating the great mystery of life.

My Philosophy

"The guiding principles of my practice are love, acceptance, and curiosity. I Believe that our bodies have an incredible innate wisdom just waiting to be tapped into. When we look at the human body as a microcosm of the macrocosm and inseparable from our environment, we can start healing from a place of an interconnected understanding that carries with it the potential for great transformation and growth."
